Emotionally Smart: Boosting Emotional Intelligence for Educators and Students

Description: This session will be focused on the role of emotional intelligence (EI) in schools. Participants will learn strategies for building their own emotional intelligence, as well as techniques and tools for embedding EI experiences into everyday instruction. The Webinar will be hands-on and experiential, with participants managing and constructing their own learning in the company of their peers.
Learning Goals: 1) Understand Emotional Intelligence: Participants will gain a foundational understanding of emotional intelligence, its key components, and how it influences behaviors and relationships. 2) Enhance Personal Emotional Intelligence: Educators and parents will learn strategies to boost their own emotional intelligence to better manage their emotions and interactions with others. 3) Foster Emotional Intelligence in Students: Attendees will explore practical methods to support the development of emotional intelligence in students, enabling them to recognize, understand, and manage their emotions effectively.
