Join us for First-Generation College Celebration Week at the University of Iowa with a First-Generation Graduate Student Panel, hosted by the Office of Graduate Student Success and Belonging. This event will showcase first-generation graduate students as they share their personal stories, including the challenges they've faced and the successes they've achieved throughout their academic journey.
Whether you are a current graduate student or an undergraduate interested in graduate school, this is a great opportunity to hear firsthand what it’s like to navigate graduate school as a first-generation student, gain insights on overcoming obstacles, and discover ways to build community. Catered food will be provided, so come grab a plate while we engage in discussion and connect with fellow students! Please RSVP to attend.
