About the Networking Dinner:
This event caps off Tippie's celebration of Black History Month and is FREE for all attendees! Doors open at 5:15 p.m. to Kinnick Stadium's new Ted Pacha Family Club Lounge in the North Endzone Kinnick Edge section; featuring a new iconic backdrop within our historic stadium.
Enjoy a mocktail networking hour and guided activities where UI students, High School students and over 50 invited Industry Professionals can casually meet each other before being seated for the formal dinner and remarks. Our 25 banquet tables will include two Industry Professionals per table with the rest of the seats filled by UI and high school students. Table placements will be determined by our planning team based on related majors/industries of professionals as well as other related interests like where students want to live/work after graduation or miscellaneous passions they put on the RSVP form.
The Networking Dinner is FREE and open to ALL UI and High School students from multiple interests, including Tippie’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs, engineering, entrepreneurship, the arts, media, journalism, sports, education, non-profit, and more. Previous speakers include the Co-Founder of Humanize My Hoodie, the President of Wieden + Kennedy Portland, and On-Air Personality of National Football League (NFL) Network.
The Networking Dinner was created to focus on the cultivation of our next leaders, supporting their growth, igniting their passions, and connecting them to successful professionals. Our goals for student attendees for this event have been:
- See representation and network with professionals across industries with unique perspectives.
- Discover mentorship from business leaders in their fields that interest.
- Explore career/internship opportunities.
