Having difficult conversations can help build inclusive and productive classrooms. We will explore managing discussions that involve emotionally charged, controversial topics and hurtful comments. Participants will learn evidence-based strategies for planning challenging conversations and handling unexpected moments.  The workshop will be held from noon to 1 p.m.; optional consulting with Center for Teaching staff will occur from 1 to 1:30 p.m.
