He has been an artist in residence at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art (U.S.), Gruber-Jez Foundation (Mexico), and Poustinia Land Art Park (Belize). Cal is a Professor of Art (Sculpture) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
