Controlling Research—Gun Control, Public Health, and Restraints on Research

Join us for this pop-up Obermann Conversation about research restrictions on gun violence.

Speakers:

Cori Peek-Asa is associate dean for research for the College of Public Health and professor in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health. She is the director of the UI's Injury Prevention Research Center.

Mark Berg is an associate professor in Sociology and Director of the Crime and Justice Policy Research Program at the UI Public Policy Center. His recent research examines the dynamics of interpersonal disputes and escalation, the developmental pathways of aggressive behavior, and the life-course determinants of adverse health outcomes.

Carletta Knox Seymour is a founding member of the 1Strong Coalition.
