The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship Program is a highly prestigious external award opportunity designed to recognize individuals in a wide range of disciplines who have demonstrated exceptional capacity for scholarship or creative ability.

Being awarded with a Guggenheim Fellowship is not only an extraordinary accomplishment and opportunity for the recipient, but also a triumph for the university as a whole.

Event Information

Faculty interested in learning more about the highly prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship, including how to submit a competitive application, are invited to attend this panel discussion and networking session presented by the Office of the Vice President for Research, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost.

This session will include a welcome from President Barbara Wilson, remarks from Executive Vice President and Provost Kevin Kregel, and a panel discussion featuring previous Guggenheim recipient Melissa Febos, National Book Critics Circle Award finalist Donika Kelly, and other prestigious award winners. The panel will be co-moderated by Roland Racevskis, Associate Dean for the Arts and Humanities in CLAS, and Josh Weiner, Associate Dean for Research in CLAS.

The event will take place from 3 – 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10 at 2520D University Capitol Centre and will include time to ask questions and network with panelists and fellow attendees. Light refreshments will be provided.
