BUILD: Exploring the Influence of Implicit Bias in Our Work and Lives – The Research, Impact, and Strategies to Override
This workshop will explore implicit bias, including an introduction to key research studies showing the prevalence and potential impact of unchecked bias in employment practices, clinical interactions, mentoring, and everyday interactions. Participants will explore evidence-based strategies to reduce its impact using case-based discussions related to faculty/staff recruitment, retention, self-advocacy, and more.
