How do we learn and remember? Why does our mind go blank during a test? Although you have spent the majority of your life in school, you have probably never been taught how to study. This workshop will do exactly that by examining the research from cognitive science that students can use in their classes. The workshop will focus on mindset (how we think of ourselves as learners), metacognition (how we think about our thinking), and memory (how we store and remember information for later recall). These three Ms each make critical contributions to learning, both inside and outside the university classroom.
