Join us for a talk and discussion by the writer Han Junghyun, in residence at the University of Iowa this fall as part of the 2024 International Writing Program. With this year's Nobel Prize for Literature going to a Korean writer (Han Kang, IWP 1998) for the first time ever, and translations from Korean regularly appearing in English, Korean literature is attracting global attention like never before. Han will discuss the contemporary Korean literary scene and her own place in it.

The public is co-sponsored by UI International Writing Program, Dept. of Asian and Slavic Languages and Literatures, and Center for Asian and Pacific Studies. Please let us know at 319-335-1305 or dongwang-liu@uiowa.edu if you have any questions about attending the event.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact in advance at
