Ms. American Pie author Beth Howard will read from her new book, Hausfrau Honeymoon: Love, Language, and Other Misadventures in Germany

This humorous, engaging, and romantic travel memoir tells of Howard’s misadventures in language and cultural assimilation when she moved to Stuttgart, Germany from 2003 to 2006 to live with her German-born husband.

Beth M. Howard is the author of Making Piece: A Memoir of Love, Loss and Pie and Ms. American Pie: Buttery Good Pie Recipes and Bold Tales from the American Gothic House. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Real Simple, Country Living, and Guideposts. She has been featured on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360, CBS's This Morning, the BBC, NPR, the Los Angeles Times, and the Huffington Post.

A former tenant of the Grant Wood House in Eldon, Iowa, she now lives on a farm in Southeast Iowa with her farmer and her goats.
