Community Edible Forest Gardening

Join your fellow neighbors anytime between 10 am and 11:30 am to help prepare the Wetherby Edible Forest for more free edibles.

The event is free and open to everyone.

Food security is an important issue for every community and the Wetherby Edible Forest aims to secure access to food for everyone, while fostering a healthy ecological system that supports monarchs, honeybees and other desired insects.

FOOD, FUN AND INFORMATION
Tasty food and refreshments will be provided along with fun tours.

Publications will be available about growing food and creating habitat for desired insects.

VOLUNTEER ACTIVTIES
* Weeding: Pull a few weeds to keep the edibles healthy.
* Plant moving: We'll move berry bushes to happier places.
* Edging: Place edging and flagstones to define pathways.

WHAT TO BRING
Please bring...
* Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
* Gloves (leather ones, if you have them).
* Gardening tools: Loppers, pruners, steel rakes, wheel barrows, spades.
