The in-person ceremony has been canceled; a virtual ceremony has been scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15. CLICK TO JOIN.

Our virtual ceremony includes graduating students from our BASW and MSW programs in Iowa City, Des Moines, and Sioux City. Participating graduates' names will be read, and we will announce the recipients of our annual Directors' Award for outstanding students, selected by faculty vote, and our Distinguished Faculty Award, which is awarded to a professor by student vote.

Dr. Sara Sanders, former director of the school and current Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives and the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), will deliver the welcome / keynote address, and each participating graduate has been given the option of making a statement.
