The Spring 2019 Engineering Career Fair will be geared towards engineering and computer science students graduating in May 2019 as well as students seeking summer and fall 2019 internships and co-ops.

All students are encouraged to attend whether you are actively searching for a full-time, co-op or internship position, or are simply attending to network and explore careers and companies. The roster will include more than 85 manufacturing, consulting, health care, information technology (IT), government, and nonprofit organizations–many of them new to The University of Iowa for the first time. 

The single most important thing you can do to prepare for the career fair is research the companies ahead of time.  Know what products or services they offer.  Have an idea who their competitors are or any recent news items.  Prepare a short list of questions to ask each company.  The more you know, the easier it will be to approach a company.  The complete employer directory is now available on an app downloadable through the iTunes and GooglePlay stores, “Career Fair Plus.”  In addition to the filterable list of companies, an interactive map will be available for students to map out company table locations.  Download the app, star which companies you want to attend on the interactive map and bring your smart phone or tablet to the fair. 

All students are invited to have their professional photo taken during the fair free of charge at the fair. An electronic, high resolution copy of your photo will be distributed to you a few weeks after the fair.  The photos are great to use on LinkedIn or for other professional purposes.
