Co-sponsored by the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies and the Office of the Vice President for Research, Books Ends—an Obermann/OVPR Book Completion Workshop—supports University of Iowa faculty from disciplines in which publishing a monograph is required for tenure and promotion. The award is designed to assist faculty members in turning promising manuscripts into important, field-changing, published books. Read more about the program.

Interested applicants are invited to learn more about the program and application process at a virtual information session on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Obermann Center Director Teresa Mangum will share her vision for the program and answer questions. Also on hand will be a former Book Ends faculty participant.

Please register to receive the Zoom link.

Applications for 2022-23 Book Ends workshops are due Sept. 15, 2022 (5 p.m.) and again Feb. 15, 2023 (5 p.m.).
