Please join Johnson County Landmark for our inaugural concert for the 2021-22 school year. The ensemble is beyond pleased to be joined by two special guest soloists: Dr. William Menefield on piano and Prof. Curtis Taylor on trumpet. Both recent additions to the UI jazz studies faculty, Taylor and Menefield be performing with our premier big band for the very first time. This promises to be an absolutely memorable concert! Featuring works by Charles Mingus, Thad Jones and A.C. Jobim among others. Free, open to the public and appropriate for all ages.
