College of Liberal Arts and Sciences 9 a.m. Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony
Doors will open one hour prior to ceremony start, the approximate length of the ceremony is 2 hours. No tickets required.
Select College of Liberal Arts and Sciences majors will be recognized. - List of majors recognized at 9 a.m. ceremony.
Dean Sara Sanders and UI President Barbara Wilson will confer degrees. President Wilson will confer an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters upon Mark Johnson (MA ’73), an award-winning film and TV producer.
The student speaker will be Camellia Pham, of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, who will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in comparative literature with honors, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese, and a minor in translation for global literacy with highest distinction.
