Local Libraries LIT: Roxane Gay
Roxane Gay is a bestselling, award-winning author, professor, editor, and social commentator. Local Libraries LIT is thrilled to present Roxane Gay during a unique hour-long online program featuring a reading of her work and opportunity to interact.
Roxane Gay won the Paul Engle Prize presented by the Iowa City UNESCO City of Literature in 2016. She is the author of several bestsellers, including Bad Feminist, Difficult Women, and Hunger. She is also the first Black woman to become a lead writer for Marvel with World of Wakanda. Gay is working on several books, television and film projects.
Reservations for this free program are required through the Iowa City Public Library. An event link will be emailed to participants.
Local Libraries LIT (Listen, Initiate, Talk) is a series of virtual author events co-hosted by the Iowa City Public Library, Coralville Public Library, North Liberty Library, and the University of Iowa Libraries. The goal of Local Libraries LIT is to spark actions to grow thriving communities which shine with diversity, equity, and inclusion.
