NSF GRFP Overview

The Graduate College offers webinars to support students applying for prestigious national fellowships. These webinars introduce graduate students to new opportunities, clarify application components, and connect students with campus support for the application process. No prior experience with fellowships is required. 

The NSF GRFP Overview webinar is an introduction aimed primarily at new graduate students, and will include Q&A opportunities. See eligibility requirements for GRFP below. 

  • Open to graduate students in research-based master's or doctoral programs in various STEM and Social Sciences fields (must be U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident. Click here for full eligibility details.)
  • Fellows receive 3 years of support with a $34,000 stipend and a $12,000 cost of education allowance each year.
  • UI graduate student applicants are also eligible for the Fellowship Incentive Program (FIP).
