October 1, 2021 is International Day of Older Persons.

This year’s program will address the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights issue of adequate and affordable housing.

According to the UN, “housing is not adequate if its cost threatens or compromises the occupants’ enjoyment of other human rights.”

The July 27, 2021 S&P Corelogic Case-Shiller Index report indicates that overall home prices were up almost 17 percent over the past year.

Now, more than ever, it is important to come to together to discuss the state of affordable housing in Johnson County. Please join us for a short panel discussion discussing housing options for older adults followed by an open Q and A session with information resources.
