Recording of Liberatory Pedagogical Approaches: Culturally Sustaining Pedagogy in Practice

Please register online. TLC Credit: Traditional. Asychronous.

In this workshop, we will review the history and tenets of culturally relevant/responsive and sustaining pedagogies. We will then consider our school communities, our current/upcoming units, or projects (including outside of class for admin & counselors), and possibilities to construct lessons/units and learning environments that center the tenets of culturally sustaining pedagogy. This is not so much a one-stop-shop session as much as it is a moment of critical reflection and brainstorming that will begin to move our practice forward.
