Please join us for a series of workshops on what can be done to strengthen general education—as students move into STEM, business, health, and other pre-professional fields—to ensure that college students, whatever their major or background, encounter inspiring works of literature and philosophy and grasp the power of the humanities and its relevance to their professional aspirations.

The February 2022 "How I Teach this Text" workshop will feature Andrew Delbanco, president of the Teagle Foundation and Alexander Hamilton Professor of American Studies at Columbia University, on teaching Herman Melville's short story, "Bartleby, the Scrivener" to a new generation of students.
