Hello, Hawkeyes!

Have you always wanted to attend a fashion show? Do you wish to learn more about sustainability and saving our planet? Then consider attending our Recycled Runway event!

Event Management Certificate students are hosting a Recycled Runway show that will take place on Earth Day, this Friday, April 22nd. This runway show will feature garments made completely out of recycled plastic bags and sustainable materials. Our goal is to spread awareness about the impact we have on our planet in a unique way.

The show will take place in Becker Communication Studies Building Lecture Hall 101 on Friday from 2 to 3 p.m

The show will include a runway walk featuring the garments made by student designers, a giveaway of a Basic Goods gift basket and more. Concluding the runway show, designers will come out with their models to give attendees a chance to see their garments close up. Attendees will then get the chance to vote on their favorite look and the winner will receive a Basic Goods gift card.

We will be handing out reusable bags to those who bring plastic bags with them to the event. These bags will be recycled after the event. Our hope is to make a small impact on those who attend to eventually make a big impact on our planet.
