Application Deadline: Obermann Arts & Humanities Symposium Director (2023–24)
Is there a burning topic in your discipline or a topic that cuts across disciplines that we should bring to campus? Is there a format for the conversation that can energize an intellectual community around that topic? That might be the perfect topic for an Obermann Arts & Humanities Symposium!
These imaginative half- and whole-day symposia connect the arts and humanities with design, politics, health sciences, environmental studies, technology, and other disciplines via a compelling topic. Symposia should feature invited speakers, the arts, community-facing programming, and the latest pedagogical approaches to the symposium topic. In addition to the financial award of up to $15,000, Director(s) also receive significant staff support from the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies.
Interested in applying? Attend a virtual info session from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22 to learn more. The session will be led by Teresa Mangum, director of the Obermann Center. No registration required.
