Dan Matheson joined the Iowa faculty after 15 years of sport management experience between the New York Yankees and the NCAA. That industry background led Dan to develop and emphasize connections between students and sport organizations through unique experiential learning opportunities upon arriving to campus in 2011. Dan will talk about how his background in pro and college sports informs his work with students, the pivotal role that experiential learning plays in developing students for successful careers in sport and other sectors, and how Iowans can assist in the experiential learning process.
This lecture is sponsored by the University of Iowa Provost's Office of Outreach & Engagement.
