Real Stories, Real Heroes: Heroes Among Us

Black Superhero Week is proud to bring Black heroes to Iowa and to spaces in Iowa City. These are people who are makings change, fighting for equity, and always looking for more people to be a part of their efforts. As we think about superheroes and their morals, we must never forget that there are Heroes Among Us.

This event is a part of Black History Month's Black Superhero Week.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Jamal Nelson in advance at or 319-335-2277.
