Arthur Miller’s searing play chronicles the historical events of the Salem Witch Trials in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. In the midst of a community torn apart by accusations and mistrust, John Proctor confronts his own flawed humanity as he strives to live as an honest man. Relationships between parents and children, husbands and wives, leaders and citizens are all tested as the community seeks to find truth in an ambiguous world.
