Transgender Day of Remembrance Vigil
This international event has been held annually at locations across the globe since 1999. The vigil recognizes those who have lost their lives due to anti-trans violence in the past year. Speakers from the University of Iowa will remember those who have passed by reading their names. We will conclude the event by creating a collage out of post-it notes filled with hopeful messages written by attendees, which will then be displayed at the LGBTQ Resource Center.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Andrew Crowley in advance at firstname.lastname@example.org.
