The symposium will consider the pervasive (though often unnoticed) influence of disability on and in the performing\, visual\, and literary arts\, in philosophy and religion\, in political and economic life\, and in everyday language\, as we explore when and how minds and bodies “misfit.”\n\nActivities and inventions at the intersection of arts\, design\, and technology can enrich the experience of the world around us. This conversational panel will feature artists and scholars whose work at the intersection engages deeply with people negotiating with learning and social abilities related to success and quality of life. This panel includes Mary Adamek (School of Music)\, Eileen Wynne Ball (Program for the Advancement of Learning\, Curry College)\, Elizabeth Delsandro (Waisman Center\, University of Wisconsin-Madison)\, and Juan Pablo Hourcade (Computer Science\, UI).
