This HPC system is dedicated to open science\, and features 612 compute nodes with 15\,000 processing cores and more than 147 graphics processing units (including GPUs and nodes that were purchased by investors).\n\n"Intro to HPC (using Argon)" is a two-hour introductory session intended for anyone who plans to use Argon for their research\, and features the following lessons:\n\n\n How to make the most effective use of HPC resources\n Connecting to the Argon cluster\n Launching HPC jobs\n Getting your data to and from Argon\n Getting access to the software you need\n Overview of resources available through XSEDE (US National Science Foundation's federated cyberinfrastructure)\n \n\n\nThis session will be taught by Sai Ramadugu from Research Services\, and will include both lecture and hands-on training. The session will take place September 18\, 2019 from 1 Pm to 3:00 p.m.\, with one short break.\n\nThere is room for 16 people.
