She has held book conservation positions at Columbia University Libraries\, the Huntington Library\, the Winterthur Library\, the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts\, and the Library of Congress and has taught at the NYU conservation graduate program at the Institute of Fine Arts\, the Paper and Book Intensive\, where she also served as co-director for 30 years\, and the Montefiascone Conservation Project. Fredericks’ most recent research and teaching has been focused on late medieval and early modern bindings made in Italy.\n\nThe William Anthony Conservation Lecture Series\, hosted by the University of Iowa Libraries Conservation Lab\, invites Book and Paper Conservators and Bookbinders to share their experience and work with the UI book arts community and beyond.
