Attendees will learn about Iowa’s native spring flowers and their role in a healthy ecosystem. The hike will begin at the Main Parking Lot with a short introduction before we set out on the 1.5 mile Eagle Lakeshore trail. Click here to see a map.\n\nAttendees should bring a filled water bottle\, wear hiking shoes or boots\, and wear clothes that can get dirty. The hike will take about an hour.\n\nThe trail is rugged through old growth woodland which is a remnant of the Historical Big Grove Woodland. It is in an ecologically sensitive area\, so no picking of the plants or flowers\, please. Many of the plants are rare and exist no where else in the County.
