Did you know that 62% of the population is eligible to donate whole blood or platelets, but only 3% actually donates? Learn more about the importance of blood donation, hosting blood drives, and how donating blood products can benefit our communities.

Mandy McClenahan is the blood drive coordinator and donor recruitment specialist at the UI DeGowin Blood Center. A native Iowan, a graduate of the University of Iowa, and an avid blood donor (almost 4 gallons!), she is passionate about educating others about the benefits of blood donation.
