The Midwest Victorian Studies Association Conference will be held at the University of Iowa April 19–21, 2024. Co-sponsors are the Obermann Center, the Departments of English and History, and the Schools of Art and Music. The conference venues are the Old Capital reception hall and Senate Chamber, Schaeffer Hall, MacBride Hall, and Old Brick. Special events include a plenary address by Elizabeth Yale, "Human Evolution in the Popular Press: Victorian Women on Mother Love, Mutual Devotion, and Moral Murder," Saturday at 3:45–5 p.m. in the Old Capitol Senate Chamber, and Victorian Dancing under the Crystal Chandelier in the Old Capitol, Saturday 7:30–9 p.m.
