Grandparents University® is an intergenerational learning program that allows grandparents — or honorary grandparents — to spend a day of discovery with their grandchildren.

This campus event will offer hands-on educational opportunities with UI experts. You can make lasting memories while exploring engaging topics in everything from the arts and humanities to medicine and science.

You’ll have the chance to learn more about topics such as:

• Bird banding

• Beatrix Potter

• The metaverse

• Memory and the brain

Registration will open on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 9 a.m., and will remain open Wednesday, July 3, 2024 — or until we’ve reached capacity.

Cost: 

• $75 for one grandparent and one grandchild

• $100 for two grandparents and one grandchild or one grandparent and two grandchildren
