Actuarial Science Club Elections
Dec 5, 2024
06:30 PM - 07:30 PM
20 East Washington Street, Iowa City, IA 52240
As we are approaching the end of the semester, it is time to hold elections to elect a new executive board for the Actuarial Science Club. We will be holding the election night on Dec. 5 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Holding a board position can have a lot of benefits like giving you valuable leadership, collaborative, and organizational experience. A list of the board positions with their responsibilities and requirements can be found in this document. If you are interested in running for a position(s) please fill out this form to indicate which position(s) you plan to run for. You can still run for a position if you do not fill out the form, this just helps us get an idea of how many people plan on running for each position.
On election night, candidates will be asked to give a short speech of 4 minutes or less as to why they are running, any ideas they have for the role, why they are a good candidate, or anything else that you think would be beneficial to know. Members are also free to ask candidates questions about any of those subjects. Positions will be voted on in the following order: President, Underclassmen Ambassador, VP of Finance, VP of Media, VP of Alumni Relations, VP of Social Programming, and International Student Ambassador (if applicable). If you have any questions about the roles or how the election will work, please reach out to Sam Reckamp at samuel-reckamp@uiowa.edu and he will be happy to help.
Even if you do not plan on running for a position, please plan on attending so that you can make your voice heard and support your friends who are running. Election night is a big event for the club and it will be the last event of the semester, so we hope to see you all there!
