Lecture Title: "Transitioning from Radiology Peer Review to Peer Learning"

David B. Larson, MD, MBA, is Professor of Pediatric Radiology at Stanford University, where he is Vice Chair for Education and Clinical Operations. He is the Associate Chief Quality Officer for Improvement for Stanford Health Care and a co-leader of the Stanford Medicine Center for Improvement.

Dr. Larson is a leader in radiology quality improvement and patient safety and speaks regularly on pediatric CT radiation dose optimization to radiology peer learning. He is the executive director of Stanford’s Realizing Improvement through Team Empowerment (RITE) program and co-director of the Clinical Effectiveness Leadership Training (CELT) program. He also leads the Stanford Medicine Improvement Capability Development Program.

Dr. Larson is Founder and Chair for the Radiology Improvement Summit held annually at Stanford. He is an ABR Trustee overseeing quality and safety. He is a Society for Pediatric Radiology board member.. He is a Chancellor for the ACR and chairs the Commission on Quality and Safety.

Prior to Stanford, Dr. Larson held the Janet L. Strife Chair for Quality and Safety in Radiology and was faculty at the James M. Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He holds MD and MBA degrees from Yale University.
