Michael White, Ronald Nelson Smith Professor of Classics and Religious Studies & Director of the Institute for the Study of Antiquity and Christian Origins, University of Texas at Austin,will give a public lecture "A Jewish Community in the Port of Rome: Recent Excavations in the Ostia Synagogue" at 6:00 p.m. Monday, October 22 in 140 Schaeffer Hall.
