The Data-Informed Community of Practice is open to any faculty who are interested in collaborating with other instructors and supporting one another in using data to improve student success at the course and/or program level.

Members of the community meet three times per semester to explore student data available to UI faculty with two goals: 1) identify potential barriers to student learning and 2) generate solutions to implement at the course or program level. Everyone will have their own course or program focus, and the group will serve as a space to practice effective approaches to identifying and using data for improved student learning.

We invite all faculty at the University of Iowa who are interested in these topics to join us. If you’d like to attend any of the fall meetings, please submit this brief form. We'll forward the Outlook event so you can RSVP.

The Office of Teaching, Learning, and Technology provides expertise, tools, and services to optimize teaching and learning through learning sciences research, ICON, teaching and learning data, and advanced classroom and instructional technology.
